Maxoptix (a subsidiary of Maxtor), Sony and Fujitsu are the most well-known manufacturers of this type of drive. The most common form factors and the capacities were, 3.5” (128MB, 230MB, 640MB) and 5.25” (640MB, 650MB, 1.3GB, 2.5GB, 5GB, 9.1GB).

The following are the most common types of mainframe tape data cartridge: 3480, 3490, 3490E, 3590, 3592, TS-11×0, 3570, Open Reel tape.
Any Magnetic Floppy Disk
The most commonly seen magnetic floppy disks are, 5.25” and 3½” formatted using Mac, PC and other operating systems and the LS120 drive.
